Goblins, Garbage, and Game Night
Yesterday was one of those low-key but kinda sparkly days—the kind that doesn’t scream “write about me!” but still leaves you smiling when you think back on it.
I started the morning organizing my notebooks and pulling out some ornaments I’d stashed away. Gotta say, nothing makes me feel more like a functioning adult than touching office supplies on purpose. Progress.
Meanwhile, Nicky discovered that—gasp—she can, in fact, access the garbage can if she really puts her mind to it. I admire her ambition, but I think we’re entering her Trash Goblin Era. May the gods of kitchen cleanliness protect us.
It was way too cold for the puppy park (rude), so she was full of zoomies by evening. Luckily, Uncle Billy and Aunt Kate came over for board games and gave her the kind of attention that only Fun Family People can provide. I made a frozen cauliflower crust pizza that was exactly what I needed—easy, cheesy, and slightly suspicious in origin. Would eat again.
That’s it. No dramatic revelations, no breakthroughs. Just a quiet, sweet little Friday. And sometimes that’s enough.
