đž Whatâs in Nickyâs Bowl? Chaos Cuisine, Deluxe Edition đ˝ď¸
Letâs talk about something that sounds simple but has turned into a full emotional ritual in my house: dog food.
I recently switched Nicky from Nutro to Purina Pro Plan, and let me tell youâI can see the difference. Her energy, her coat, even her digestion⌠all better. And most importantly? She actually likes it. Which, in my opinion, might be the most important thing.
Because listen: dogs are like us. You can give them the fanciest, most nutritious food on the planet, but if they hate it? Thatâs not nourishment, thatâs torture. I want her to be healthy AND happyânot just surviving, but vibing at mealtime.
So hereâs what we do:
⢠Base: Purina Pro Plan dry food. Itâs solid, recommended by every Vet, science-backed, and she likes it.
⢠Wet food mixer: I love the Cesar packets. I know theyâre technically fast food, but the variety is amazing, and adding just a little to her kibble makes her lose her damn mind in joy. Plus, sheâs getting her nutrition from Purina⌠this is just for flavor and fun.
⢠Add-ins:
⢠A drizzle of olive oil for her coat and hotspots
⢠Scrambled egg with crushed shells (yes, vet-approved!)
⢠A spoonful of whatever Iâm eatingâif itâs dog-safe and delicious
Her all-time favorite? Progresso Chickarina soup.
She had it last night mixed into her food, and acted like I served her Michelin-star cuisine on a silver platter.
I donât care if itâs extra. I want her to be excited about food. I want her to feel like sheâs being taken care of in the little waysâbecause thatâs what we all deserve, right?
A little nourishment. A little joy. A little soup from the humanâs bowl.
With Love,
Dana & Nicky
